About

I’m Deepanshu Kartikey, a Performance Engineer at Clickpost working on the platform team. I go deep into systems to make them faster.

Outside of work I contribute to the Linux kernel — fixing bugs in filesystems (ext4, ntfs3, ocfs2, f2fs, gfs2, btrfs, romfs), memory management (hugetlbfs, mm/thp, mm/slub, mm/vmalloc, mm/memfd), networking (atm/lec, net/nfc, net/usb, wifi/mac80211), and core subsystems (kernel/fork, bpf, block, iommufd, comedi, tracing). Most of my bugs come from syzbot.

All my merged patches are on kernel.org.

Syzbot to Mainline: How I Merged 21 Kernel Patches as a First-Time Contributor Open Source Summit India 2026 · The Linux Foundation

How I went from zero kernel knowledge to 21 merged patches in 3 months using syzbot — Google’s 24/7 kernel fuzzer. Covers the full workflow: picking bugs, reproducing crashes, reading KASAN reports, writing patches, and surviving code review from maintainers like Andrew Morton and Theodore Ts’o.
